Mental Health Together: Engaging Derby and Derbyshire

Helping services work for the people that use them.

We believe that people with first-hand experience of mental health conditions, and those who care for them, are the people best qualified to help shape health and social care services to provide better care in the future.

High Peak Service User Network

This project involves MHT working with a Lead Nurse and Carers Champion to help establish a service receiver and carer feedback group in the High Peak area.  This group will be consulted with, and provide feedback to health and social care providers and commissioners, regarding new and existing services.

Sue’s Story

Sue got in touch with Mental Health Together to share her experiences of mental health services. After meeting with Sue we decided to collate her experiences into a patient story which we presented to the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Board.

Co-production Training

Mental Health Together has developed a training course aimed at raising awareness of the need to involve service receivers and carers in decisions about changes to mental health services.
